Busy Busy Busy, thats what it always seems like around here.
Works kept me on my toes and while I've had days off, I've kept them full by looking for a new job. I'm hunting down something that is 9-5 or 7-3 ish, you know, that sort of shift. Of course that's kind of tough to find right now, but I know its out there somewhere ^-^
The boys really enjoyed the holidays, they got all sorts of fun things and just like every year we say "We won't buy them toys, we'll leave that part to the rest of the family and we'll just get them some fun new outfits or something we can all use together as a family" Yeah....right.....*laughs*
That so didn't happen.
Madd's hair was getting long so he got to pick out a new hairdo. He was too funny at the salon. The picture of the kid in the book who's haircut he picked had his thumbs in his ears and hands spread making a silly face. So when Madd got up there to the girl cutting his hair, he said "I want this." matter of factly and stuck his thumbs in his ears and wiggled his fingers. The girl laughed and said "oh yeah?" It was a good first haircut at a salon for him and I was glad ^-^ You hear about kids being scared but he wasn't at all. I was very proud of him.
Little Man did not want his hair cut. Every time I ask, he puts his hands on the top of his head and says in a pitiful voice "Don't cut my hair" *chuckles* I've got to talk him into one soon enough, its getting unruly.
As for on the crafting front,
I've been working on some projects and I keep trying to come up with fun new inspirations. I haven't had the time really though to sit down with tools and work on some of the harder ones I've got in mind. I'm hoping a steady hours job will help with that and the fact that spring is right around the corner will as well. If I'm to do any shows...I'll have to create something! *chuckles*

Thought I'd share a bit of our holiday...wordy and pictures abound!
Hubb always gets into the cooking scene around holidays. I think mostly it's because his grandmother cooked large meals and he associates them with the holidays. I realize that most do, My family did bigger meals than normal, but I just wasn't that interested in them.
Hubb on the other hand has a semi love affair with food. Ok forget semi, its a full blown affair. That man loves food. ^-^
So every year he forces a turkey into our freezer along with the various other foods needed. This year I managed to talk him out of a large bird since everyone else in the family was already doing big dinners and it would never get eaten! Then his boss got him a ham for Christmas.
Whoo......hoo....
He was excited and I was happy to let him cook.
The ham took hours and hours. This ham was huge! I'm talking....well why talk when I can show you.

So yeah.....most of that's still in my fridge.
Our boys enjoyed the holidays. I bought them lots of goodies from Etsy, Hubb found them a couple of things in the mass market, Superman, board games and the like. Not that that bothers me ^-^ I love that he likes to shop.

The house was all lit up. I tried to talk Hubb out of putting the lights up..I'm not sure what was wrong with me...I love Christmas lights, just didn't feel like we had time this year. But up they went ^-^

We had the fireplace going for a week, ya know with the heater going out, and that was something I enjoyed.

Ok, I'll hush now. One last shot of a family friend who's been around for years and years. He's always right by the front door and the boys love to hear him tinkle out jingle bells. He's one of the first things I put up each year and one of the last things to come down.

Ah Christmas.

Happy Holidays!
Here at my house, the tree is trimmed, the fireplace is warm...even though we've now fixed the heater (little happy dance here) and yummy smells are wafting out of the oven.
Ahh Christmas.
I snagged a treasury this morning,

Well back to baking ^-^ Hope you all are having a safe and happy holiday!

Spiraling...into Christmas
Over the holiday I got the chance to craft a little. Spending time in an area with little to no internet is conducive to crafting. ^-~ I made a group of rings, as well as two new necklaces. I also got a little felting time in, though I won't be selling the first piece and the second is still in production. *Crossing my fingers it turns out like I want it too*
Heres the first necklace I listed.

I'll be listing the rings and the other necklace throughout the weekend. Trying to stretch some things out over time, so I can hopefully get some exposure. ^-^
Oh and heres the first felted piece.

Its the size of an Artist Trading Card, but I don't know that I'll ever really trade it.
